A/B Testing - What It Is and How to Conduct It Properly
A/B testing is a method of comparing two versions of a page or interface. One group of users is shown the original version, while another group is shown a modified version. After that, metrics such as conversion rate, user behavior, average order value, and others are analyzed to determine which version is more effective.
Depending on the goals of the study, different metrics are selected for analysis:
- conversion rate (for example, whether a new subscription button is effective);
- economic metrics (average order value, revenue volume);
- behavioral factors (page depth, bounce rate, average session duration).
