4D Branding - a model for brand analysis across four dimensions
4D Branding is a brand analysis method based on four dimensions, each of which reflects specific audience needs:
- Functional - the practicality and usefulness of a product (for example, “Toyota is reliable and does not break down”).
- Social - a sense of belonging to a group (as with Apple users).
- Mental - emotional impact and increased confidence (for example, “With Nike, you feel more determined”).
- Spiritual - a connection with societal values (IKEA - sustainability and conscious consumption).
The concept helps identify the strengths and weaknesses of a brand and adjust its positioning.
